If you let your kids use the Internet, you need rules. The first one should be that they should never give out their full name, address, telephone number or school. And if they make a friend through the Net, they can only meet them in person if they take mom or dad along.
In addition, you may want to consider getting an internet filtering service. This will block access to many sites that are harmful for kids. Your current internet access provider may have this option. If not, many other companies do have this technology.
Of course, the best internet filter is a father who monitors his child’s computer activities. So don’t let the information superhighway send your kids on a detour. Get in and stay in the driver’s seat for all of your kids’ online experiences.
Have a great week with your family.
