{"id":328,"date":"2016-03-06T05:25:52","date_gmt":"2016-03-06T05:25:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fatherville.com\/wordpress\/?p=328"},"modified":"2016-03-06T05:25:52","modified_gmt":"2016-03-06T05:25:52","slug":"the-empty-page","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fatherville.com\/index.php\/2016\/03\/06\/the-empty-page\/","title":{"rendered":"The Empty Page"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/strong>Empty pages only I can write on<br \/>\nGiven by the Giver with no instructions<br \/>\nYet with full responsibility, to write<br \/>\nI choose why, when, how and what to write<\/p>\n<p>For my convenience I named the pages<br \/>\nNames that reflect my heroes and life<br \/>\nSoon after a page was in my hands<br \/>\nNeither the Giver nor the pages helped me<\/p>\n<p>They came at intervals, one after another<br \/>\nTo be cherished, nourished and nurtured<br \/>\nFor each to be known and attached to me<br \/>\nAnd to write on each and all of them<\/p>\n<p>The pen to write with was not given<br \/>\nIt occurred to me that my life was the pen<br \/>\nAnd the ink I use would have lasting imprint<br \/>\nThe imprint would reflect my choice of ink<\/p>\n<p>My ink. Would it be love or hatred?<br \/>\nWould it be self-sacrifice or selfishness?<br \/>\nWould it be contentment or whining?<br \/>\nWhat would I choose for the ink with lasting imprint?<\/p>\n<p>Would the Giver want it on His pages?<br \/>\nWould I tell Him that others also wrote on the pages?<br \/>\nAnd that I had no choice for the ink they used?<br \/>\nWhy would He trust me so much with His property?<\/p>\n<p>Writing on the pages is a hard noble vocation<br \/>\nI write on a page but sometimes nothing seems written<br \/>\nOr what&#8217;s written disappears after a while<br \/>\nYet I must write. Not writing is writing of a kind<\/p>\n<p>The writing starts with the first page, never to end<br \/>\nNo Holidays, no sick leave, no vacation<br \/>\nWriting on these pages cannot be left to chance<br \/>\nIt cannot be left to others or to man made writers<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I question the Giver&#8217;s choice of the writer<br \/>\nIs the writer qualified to leave imprint on His Pages?<br \/>\nHow can he be?
