\nhappy in your arms, I want to stay.
\nI am your gift, and you are mine too!
\nLove bonds together, both me and you.<\/p>\n
Don’t let your schedule furrow your brow.
\nWe need to enjoy this time, right now.
\nRight now is the best time for me to hold.
\nWait ’til you’re less busy, and I’ll be too old.<\/p>\n
Cuddle me tenderly, close to your chest.
\nIt is here next to you, that I am at my best.
\nYour rhythmic breathing and beating heart,
\ncontentment and comfort, to me impart.<\/p>\n
To see you, smell you, assured by your voice,
\nall wonderfully simple, yet help me rejoice.
\nA cuddle, a kiss, some play and frolic,
\nCan banish a mood, and prevent nasty colic.<\/p>\n
When we’re ‘in touch’, it reduces our stress,
\nwe are happiest then, and worry much less.
\nSafe in your arms, dispels all my fears.
\nMy beaming smiles replace anxious tears.<\/p>\n
Please hold me, hug me, show me your day,
\nyou’ll be sharing your love, in a marvelous way.
\nMy learning is best when perched at your side,
\nyour arms my classroom, and you as my guide.<\/p>\n
Please hold me up high, so that I might see
\nall the many wonders, surrounding me.
\nWhen you keep me close, as you socialize,
\nmy mind expands and more clearly I vocalize!<\/p>\n
Take me with you, balanced upon your hip
\nwhen you work, walk or take a short trip.
\nMy muscle tone and self esteem are greater,
\nsooner I will walk, rather than later.<\/p>\n
Give me hugs and security, for which I long,
\nso that I know you love me and that I belong.
\nWith your love and help, I will find my wings,
\nso that I may move on to much greater things.<\/p>\n
Very soon you will find, you’re in great shape
\nyour clothes will fit well and beautifully drape.
\nSecure in your love, I won’t cry or cling,
\nif you leave me awhile and go out on a fling.<\/p>\n
To dream of our future is significant too,
\nAnd I know a career is important to you.
\nWhen I am older, we will join in the race,
\nand we’ll be more able, to keep up the pace.<\/p>\n
Right now, what I know, as certain and right
\nis that you are my sun, the source of my light.
\nI need very little, neither expensive or new.
\nWhat I need is your love, your time and you.<\/p>\n
