“Walk beside the pony Daddy,

\nI know the cake looks funny Daddy,

Oh, with all that I’ve done wrong,

\nTo deserve a hug every morning

Sweet 16 today …
\nShe’s looking like her mama
\nA little more every day;
\nOne part woman, the other part girl,
\nTo perfume and make-up,
\nFrom ribbons and pearls
\nTrying her wings out in a great big world.
\nBut I remember

“You know how much I love you Daddy,

\nI’m only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time.”

She’ll change her name today,

Then she leaned over and gave me

\nIt’s just about time;
\nDoes my wedding gown look pretty Daddy?
